A little bit of history...
The term "akashic" has its origins in the Sanskrit word "akasha", meaning "ether" or "sky". It was introduced into theosophical literature at the end of the 19th century to describe a non-physical etheric substance that permeates all space and serves as a medium for energy and information. The "akasha" was then seen as a repository of spiritual knowledge, accessible through meditation and psychic intuition.
